HRONZ gains incorporated society status.
Over the past few months Health Researchers of New Zealand has been undergoing some important changes. As a move to further increasing the strength and long term viability of the organization, we have applied for and successfully acquired incorporated society status. As part of this process we needed to change our acronym to HRONZ, and we have also changed our web domain name to match.
With the newly incorporated status of the society comes an inaugural executive body, led by Assoc. Prof. Laura Bennet of Auckland, with Dr Vicky Cameron (Christchurch) as secretary and Dr Chris Charles (Christchurch) as treasurer.
Incorporation puts the society on a firm legal and administrative footing, and opens the way for a nationally coordinated approach to pursuing the issues that are important to HRONZ. We are seeking members who believe in and want to contribute to the objectives of the society, and ask that you consider joining and encourage colleagues to also join. |
